Wanna take a bike ride w/ Lance Armstrong? Well follow him on twitter.
Lance Armstrong recently tweeted that he was in Glasgow Scotland, inviting anyone to join him for a bike ride. 200 tweeters joined him for a rainy but fun ride.
So I guess following interesting people on twitter does have it’s perks. I know we’re not in Glasgow, but perhaps Lance will be biking in a town near you soon. So follow those tweets.
I think this is a fun story, especially for those who got to take a bike ride w/ Lance. If I was there, i’d prob. be that guy way at the end.
So if Lance was biking in a town near you would you show up? & what one question would you ask him? Leave a comment below & let us now.
The iphone has dethroned high resolution canon & nikon cameras to take the top spot as the most popular camera on flickr.
For the longest time the top spot went to the Canon Digital Rebel. So does this mean people don’t like high resolution photos?
I don’t think so, I think it just shows that we’re in an ever increasing mobile world & with the iphone you always have a camera in your pocket to take that split second shot.
It is also easy to upload directly from your phone to flickr.
iphones are easy to snap shots with, but my heart has a soft spot for a well composted high res photo. What do you think? Comment below with What camera you use to take most of your photo’s?
Tumblr.com, the super-simple blogging site recently launched 2 new features: Tag Channels & Facebook integration.
Similar to hashtags on twitter, tag channels will allow users to tag their content in order to show up in real-time search which is so popular these days.
No need to worry about tag spamming, tumblr has built in safeguards to prevent this.
The other feature Tumblr is releasing is Facebook integration. This will allow tumblr users to post photo’s audio, video & quotes from tumblr seamlessly into facebook to share with their friends.

Social Media Banned from College Stadiums, TomTom for iPhone released, Myspace to aquire iLike, and Church on your iphone!
Socially Fresh: Quench your social media & tech thirst! Daily social media news w/ a twist of tech. Enjoy a refreshing blend of our Podcast, Blog & Tweets.
Mars Hill Church recently released their iphone app. By far this is one of the more interesting uses of an iphone app we have seen lately.
We downloaded the free app & checked it out, Not to mention beautifully designed, the app is very fluid to navigate & is packed with features.
The app allows you to listen to sermons audio or video, stream mars hill music, share links with your friends & get blog updates. The app acts as a hub. They hope you will use the app on your daily commute, bike rides, walks, and more.
The church stated that God has often used technological advancement to spread the Gospel through the church, in the time of paul it was the romans’ systems of roads, today, it’s Media & the iPhone.
Myspace is close to acquiring the popular social music service iLike for close to $20 million.
iLike is a social music recommendation service that launched in 2006. With the success of Myspace music, by acquiring iLike; myspace will lock down it’s leading position for most popular online identity for bands.
What’s interesting about this story is that iLike is deeply integrated into Facebook as one of it’s most popular applications with 10 million users monthly. With Myspace being facebook’s main competition we will have to see how this plays out. Why didn’t facebook just buy iLike?
TomTom GPS is now available on the iPhone for New Zealand, Australia, Western Europe, UK, US & Canada
When we first heard this story we really wondered how this will match up to stand alone GPS systems. From initial reports it fairs very well. Check out this test video.
There are a few setbacks…It does cost $100 for the iphone App, and if you do get a call it pauses the application. So for those long drives no calls? & what about listening to music?
They do sell an in car kit, but for the price of the app & the kit you are getting pretty close to the price of a reg. gps unit. Weigh in & let us know what you think?
The Southeastern Conference is looking to release its final version of it’s new media policy.
We hope they ease up a bit on the final policy, because… In short it’s looking to ban social media usage at all SEC games
That means no twitter, facebook, youtube, twitpic or any other service that would compete with authorized media coverage of the event.
We understand that the SEC wants to protect it’s CBS contract, but how is this enforceable? We think you are shooting yourself in the foot by censoring the most important people – your fans!
Social media & the fans are really only spurring on the interest & good memories for the games! We’re shaking our heads on this one, what do you think? Comment below & let us know.
