Youtube, ranked as the second largest search engine, did some housecleaning and launched its new masthead redesign. The homepage has been de-cluttered & tweaked to focus on search as the priority and get back to the user experience of watching video. Youtube homepage now has a larger search bar and navigational links similar to Google’s homepage. The revamp also includes a new functional layout with the left side focusing on video exploration through search & browse. While the right side is about organizing videos you love from subscriptions, recent viewing history and uploads. Youtube hopes this will increase site search traffic.
