As the fairy tale goes blog gets book deal, book gets movie deal. Well, I guess we all better get writing, of course be inspired first! The movie Julie & Julia, hit screens  across the country on Friday. A delicious tale of two real women, America’s beloved french chef Julia Child & food blogger turned author Julie Powell.

If you are an advid foodie, blogger, stuck in a dead end job, Meryl Streep fan, friend of Julie Powell or love Julia Child’s and you want to be inspired then this movie is a must see. The movie whipped up by writer director Nora Ephron, chronicles Julie Powell’s attempt to cook & blog her way in 365 days through Julia Child’s massive 534 recipe cookbook “Mastering the Art of French Cooking,”. All the while learning how to poach an egg & debone a duck. The other part of the story line is based on Julia Child’s memoir “My Life in France.” Julie Powell is played by adorable Amy Adams, while Meryl Streep releases her inner Child.

So, to see how the movie rated we went right to the critics on Twitter. With this being a trending topic it was no surprise it racked in over $20 million dollars opening weekend. Many tweeted they enjoyed this feel-good film. Stating that it made them hungry & wanting to become a chef. Well, if you haven’t seen it yet, you better eat first because it will leave you salivating. As the late Julie Child’s would say “Bon-Appetit!”
